Wild Garlic & Spring Asparagus

on March 30, 2022

We are excited to share with you our new Spring menus that showcases fine, local seasonal produce. On the menu we have an award-winning organic Bath Soft cheese, that tastes delicious fried with spring truffle and smoked leeks. A slightly sweeter white wine will pair beautifully with this dish, such as our Riesling Kabinett Trocken from Germany.

Wild garlic is now in season and growing in abundance, you may have spotted it yourself growing in cool, shady areas of woodland? Our chefs are using it to make a wild garlic beurre blanc, that they serve with stone bass, roast salsify, cauliflower puree, purple sprouting broccoli and a delicious Jersey Royal fondants. We are delighted to have Kentish asparagus back on the menu too and ours come from Boughton Monchelsea, not far from us in West Malling, and is grown by David Catt.

Our spring set menu that is available Wednesday to Saturday lunchtime and on a Wednesday and Thursday evening,  alongside the a la carte menu. It’s priced at 23 for two courses and 26 for three courses.

Please telephone us on 01732 600128 to make a reservation or if you are in West Malling, and feeling spontaneous, then wander down to us at 47 Swan Street and we’ll do our best to find you a table.

Thank you x
